What is Wellness?
Wellness means different things to different people, but overall, wellness has many components. Wellness is everything from the obvious nutrition and exercise, to stress management, emotional and even financial health. All of these can be considered pieces of the wellness wheel. When we’re lacking in one area, it can throw our lives out of wack. What many of us don’t realize during our busy days is that we neglect at least one, if not all, areas of our own personal wellness wheel. This is where it’s important to realize that there is always room to improve our overall quality of life, and it’s up to us to take those steps.

Some definitions of Wellness include - the condition of good physical, mental and emotional health, especially when maintained by an appropriate diet, exercise, and other lifestyle modifications, (The American Heritage® Medical Dictionary Copyright © 2007, 2004 by Houghton Mifflin Company.) and a dynamic state of health in which an individual progresses toward a higher level of functioning, achieving an optimum balance between internal and external environments.
