Here is everything we know about Pleasing so far.

The Pleasing Harry Styles brand

Back in June, fans discovered Harry Styles had registered a brand under a limited company called Pleased As Holdings Ltd. The nature of the business is listed as “wholesale of perfume and cosmetics.”

The limited company was registered with Harry Edward Styles listed as director alongside Emma Spring. Spring is Styles’ assistant and Harry is godfather to her daughter. The correspondence address for the newly registered firm is an old garment factory in Fitzrovia, London – a short walk from Oxford Street – that has been refurbished into office space.

Styles is listed as a director of eight firms on the official Companies House website – a number of firms related to 1D have since been dissolved – with the most recent three all listing this location as the correspondence address. Spring is also listed as a co-director on two of these: Erskine Records, and HSA Publishing.

Some people had speculated that the brand itself could be called Punch as a play on the “Pleased As Punch” saying, or even “Punch and Judy”. But the recent website and Instagram launches now tell us the brand is called Pleasing. The Instagram page even has the tagline: “Choose your pleasing.”

At the time of writing, the Pleasing Harry Styles brand Instagram page has three black and white posts teasing the range. The first shows the waves of the sea lapping at the shore. The second features a black model in what looks like swimwear, on the beach. The third features a female Asian model, alongside a caucasian male model also on a beach.

The three posts are captioned: “Choose”, “Your”, “Pleasing” and then there is a link to Pleasing.com.

Pleasing: Harry Styles perfume and makeup

Given the nature of the business on Companies House, there is also a chance that the Pleasing Harry Styles brand will launch perfume and cosmetics. However, the business descriptions are quite vague on the site so it may be a misnomer.

Either way, there is an increasing number of celebs with their own makeup and fragrance lines. Jennifer Lopez recently launched JLO Beauty, while Alicia Keys has Keys Soulcare. Not to mention the many, many perfumes from the likes of Britney Spears, Paris Hilton, Katy Perry, David Beckham, and more.

We’d expect a Harry Styles Pleasing perfume and makeup line to be gender-neutral, both to appeal to the growing number of men looking to wear makeup to make themselves feel more confident as well as appeal to non-binary consumers. The inclusive Instagram posts would also suggest this to be the case.

Styles is an advocate of breaking down gender fashion norms, having famously worn a dress on the cover of Vogue. Over the years, Styles has regularly stepped out with painted nails and a purse and he encourages people to express themselves in any way they feel comfortable.

It’s not a stretch, then, to imagine him launching his own perfume and beauty range. We’ll update this page as we find out more!
